Hamburg Diner at 210 State Street, Hamburg, Pennsylvania.

I love diners and Americana, but this place was just plain sad. To start, the "salad" was a small piece of iceburg lettuce with a big hunk of onion. Hamburger toppings. A bad omen, but I laughed it off. Nothing comes on a hamburger, and EVERYTHING costs an additional 50¢, so it's not even cheap. I ordered a 6oz burger. It was throughly burned and dried to the point of being a hockey puck. It also had an off smell. It was an upsetting experience. My wife literally started crying. We abandoned the table, left our food and felt lucky to have escaped with only a $30 loss. I hope this review will be enough to save others. Unless you're an anthropologist and want to see how culture in rural Dutch Pennsylvania has withered, this place should be avoided at all costs.
